Due to atmospheric pressure of 100,000 Pa, every 1 m² of the surface of any object experiences a force of 100,000 N or 10,000 kgf which is roughly equal to 10 tonnes of force. However, we do not experience such a force acting on our body.

Assuming the surface area of an adult is 2 m² the force experienced is 200,000 N or 20 tonnes. It is because our blood contains dissolved oxygen, which is at pressure of more than 200,000 Pa. This pressure in the blood is commonly called blood pressure which counterbalances the atmospheric pressure.
