Due to sone fungal infection in a plant, a tissur got blocked and the plant wilted . give the reason and name the tissue that got blocked.

In plants, internal vascular tissue especially xylem is responsible for the transportation of nutrients from the roots to the leaves.

If a fungal infection affects that particular tissue, then water and nutrients would not reach the leaves which would slow down the process of photosynthesis ultimately resulting the wilting of the plant.
