Parasite is an organism feed on the host physiologically while predators consume the host physically. Parasite mostly consume the host on which it is living that provides it protection and nutrition while predator consume the prey that is free living in nature which means that it is not dependent upon prey for shelter and food. Parasites do not kill its host essentially e.g. roundworms and pinworms living in human body do not kill them but only cause infection but predators on the other hand essentially kill their prey e.g. lions and hyenas kill deer to fulfill their nutritional needs.
