During a drought the prices of grains fruits and veggies go up .why do you think the his happen ?do you expect the price???

during drought the prices of grains or fruits go up because of their shortage n sometimes the roads get blocked

during a drought the prices of grains and veggies increase because due to lack of water, their is a shortage of food as crops cannot be cultivated at that time...the demand of food for the people is very high, therefore the prices increases..
the price is not expected in such a case because it depends on the importance of the food product..
