During a Safari trip in Qatar, a car starts from rest, moving eastward. If the net force acting on the car is directly proportional to t², where t denotes time. What would the car's kinetic energy be proportional to?

The distance travelled by car in 15 s

= Area of AOAC

=21 ×15×45=337.5 m

Distance travelled by scooter in 15 s

= Area of rectangle OCEF

=15× 30=450 m

Thus, the difference between distance traveled by them =450 m−337.5 m=112.5 m

b. Let after time t from start car will catch, up the scooter. In time t, the distance traveled by them is equal.

Distance travelled by car =21 ×15 ×45 +45(t−15)

Distance travelled by scooter =30t

21 × 15 × 45+45(t−15)=30t

which gives t=22.5 s

Distance travelled by car or scooter in 22.5s=30×22.5

=675 m

So the car catches the scooter when both are at 675 m from the starting point.
