Hi

Number of colour pencils in a pack
= 24

Number of crayons in each pack = 32

If we find full packs of both which has same number of pencils and crayons

We have to find L C M of 24 and 32

32 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2

24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3
L C M (32,24) = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 96

24 pencils = 1 pack

i) 96 pencils = 4 × 24 pencils = 4 packs

ii) 32 crayons = 1 pack

96 crayons = 3 × 32 crayons = 3 packs

If want pencils and crayons same in number we have to buy 4 packs of pencils and 3 packs of crayons.

Hope this will helps you.

Solution :-

Number of colour pencils to be packed in a packet = 24
Number of crayons to be packed in a packet = 32
We have to find out the L.C.M. of 24 and 32
24 = 2*2*3
32 = 2*2*2*2*2

L.C.M. of 24 and 32 = 2*2*2*2*2*3
= 96

Capacity of 1 packet of colour pencils = 24
So, for 96 pencils, number of packets needed = 96/24
= 4 packets of colour pencils each with 24 pencils

Capacity of 1 packet of crayons = 32
So, for 96 crayons, number of packets needed = 96/32
= 3 Packets of crayons each with 32 crayons

So, full packets of both with same number of colour pencils and crayons, we need to buy 4 packets of colour pencils and 3 packets of crayons.
