During a tsunami, many plants and animals are buried so, their bodies sank and settled on the sea ans ocean bed, where there partially decomposed due to lack of oxygen . The partiality ― decomposed remains where then covered by multiple layers of sand, silt, and mud. As the death of the sediment increased, the weight of the sand and silt compressed them into a thin layer. Finally when the depth of the buried decomposing layer is somewhere around 10,000 feet the natural heat of the earth and intense pressure over time converted into Petroleum .
