Given :-

  • Marked price of a woodland jacket = Rs.4520 .
  • Discount = 40% .

To Find :-

  • Discount and sale price .

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Discount = (MP * Discount % ) /100
  • SP = MP - Discount .

so,

→ Discount in Rs. = 40% of 4520 = (4520 * 40) / 100 = Rs.1808 .(Ans.)

then,

→ SP = MP - Discount

→ SP = 4520 - 1808

→ SP = Rs.2712 (Ans.)

Hence, Amount of discount is Rs.1808 and sale price is Rs.2712.

Given:

During a Winter sale in a showroom the price of different items are reduced. The Marked price of a woodland jacket is Rs 4520. A discount of 40% is announced on sales.

To find:

What is the amount of discount on it and its sale price?

Solution:

Marked price = Rs 4520

Discount percentage = 40%

Finding the discount:

Discount on marked price:

 =  > 4520 \times  \dfrac{40}{100}

 = > 1808

Hence, the discount is Rs 1808
