The number of students of class 6th who donated are 20 students

Solution:

Given that,

X student from class 6th donated Rs 100 each

20 student from class 5th donated Rs 150 each

Total amount collected is Rs 5000

Thus, we can frame a equation as:

Total amount collected = (number of students in class 6th)(100) + (number of students in class 6th)(150)

Therefore,

5000 = x \times 100 + 20 \times 150\\\\5000 = 100x + 3000\\\\100x = 5000 - 3000\\\\100x = 2000\\\\x = 20

Thus, number of students of class 6th who donated are 20 students
