Sir/ Madam,
Through the columns of your reputed newspaper, I want to bring the attention of the readers to the problems faced by students due to increasing cut off percentage in colleges every year.
As the population is increasing, and sk number of students appearing for competitive exams are also increasing. This do affects the children. Collges have a limited number of seats. So the colleges are increasing their cutt off percentage even year to chose the best among the best students. Students are under extreme pressure of securing a very high marks. Because of this students' mental health condition is deteriorating.
Can't we do anything about it? Shouldn't we put pressure on our child to study and secure a seat in reputed college? Yes we should give pressure on our child. But there should be a limit. Government should come forward and increase the number of seats in the colleges. There are many bright students who don't get a seat because of the difference of 0.01% . They might have done something great ,had they got seat.
Keeping these things in mind, inrequest the concerned authorities of Government and private colleges to take some measures of increases the number of available seats in the colleges.
