During change of state, temperature does not rise or fall.what happens to the heat energy supplied or given out.explain.

The matters are made up of molecules. When there is a change in the state, the heat supplied is utilized in increasing the intermolecular space of the molecules. This heat energy gets stored as the potential energy of the molecules
