SECONDARY SEXUAL CHARACTERS :
IN BOYS :-
- the size of testes increase.
- facial hair such as beard and mustache start to grow.
- shoulders broaden.
- muscle growth rate becomes high.
- hair on hands and legs grow too.
- the scrotum turns darker.
- voice cracks and becomes deeper.
- testes start to make sperm cells.(spermato-genesis)
IN GIRLS :-
- size of breasts enlarge.
- the pubic area turns darker.
- pelvis starts broadening.
- hair grow in pubic region.
- voice becomes shriller.
- the menstrual cycle begins.
- ovary start to release ovum (o-genesis)
all these are the characteristic changes which marks the onset of puberty (development).
