during electroplating, copper is deposited at the (anode /cathode). explain how it happens?

during electroplating copper is deposited at the cathode becs as we know that current passes from positive terminal of the cell and leaves through the negative terminal so on passage of electric current anode ionizes to discharge ions to the cathode so it deposits at cathode
