Impure silver will be kept as anode and a thin strip of pure silver will be kept as cathode.
Electrolyte should be sodium argentocyanide
(Na[Ag(CN)6]
What happens is that, silver ions from the impure silver anode comes as ions to the solutions and get deposited on the thin strip of pure silver.....thus we get pure silver...
