During green revolution, extensive use of fertilizer and pesticides were done to increase crop production. Do you think this could also lead to water pollution?

yes. it would definitely lead to water pollution if we hypothetically think that the quality of those fertilizers were almost same compared to the presently used fertilizers. But if we keep in mind the advancement of fertilizers since that time maybe it would not lead to water pollution.
