During his playing days, the cricketer known as ‘Vizzy’ was the only Indian cricketer to be the President of BCCI

Vizzy's orginal name was Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Vijay Ananda Gajapathi Raju and he was popularly known as Maharajkumar of Vizianagram or Vizzy.

Vizzy was declared as the captain of Indian cricket team for the 1936 England tour.

He made a comeback in
1954 as the President of BCCI and remained till 1957.
