To find : net change in his pulse rate

Solution:

rose 48 beats per minute

fell 15 beats per minute,

rose by 32 beats per minute

fell 50 beats per minute.

Total Rise = 48  + 32 = 80 beats per minute

Total fall = 15 + 50  = 65 beats per minute

Net Rise  =  80 - 65  = 15 beats per minute

net change in his pulse rate = 15 beats per minute

Solution :

total no. of beats rise = 48 + 32 beats

⇒ total no. of beats rise = 80 beats

⇒ Total no. of beats fall = 65 beats

Change in pulse rate = 80 - 65

⇒ Change in pulse rate = rise of 15 beats
