During P.T period, all students of a class are able to stand in a square with equal numbers of rows and columns. A few students are called out for annual day practice. While the teacher is wondering how to arrange the remaining students, student 1 says “If we add 4 rows and reduce 3 columns, the rest of us will be able to perfectly form a rectangle”. Student 2 says “We can also do the same by adding 7 rows and reducing 4 columns”. If both students are right, how many students were called for annual day practice?
