Earthworms comes on the surface instead of hiding in burrows during rainy season because:
Earthworms lives in burrows under the soil and takes oxygen from the oxygen which is present in soil.But when it rains ,it fills the gap where the oxygen is present in the soil and there is no sufficient oxygen for earthworms to breathe.To sustain and get oxygen ,they comes out of the soil in rainy season.
