Mieosis is a process of nucelar division in a living cell by which the number of chromosomes is reduced to half the original number. After mitotic differentiation, first and second meiotic division occurs and the gametes will have haploid chormosomes. The diagrammatic representation of gametogeneis given in NCERT book will help u understand better
