During the game of table tennis, if the ball hits a player it does not hurt him. On the other hand when a fast moving cricket ball hits a spectator it may hurt him. State reason.

Ans.

It is seen that at times when the tennis ball hits a player one does not get hurt, but this is not same in case of a cricket ball.

This is mainly because of momentum.

The greater the mass, the more will be the momentum.

As table tennis ball has less momentum and a cricket ball has more, so it hits a player.
