basically it is related to physics as it depends on momentum principle as mass is inversely proportional to velocity so cricket ball being heavier has more damaging property

During the game of Table Tennis in the ball hits a player it does not hurt him.On the other hand when a fast moving Cricket ball hits a spectator it may hurt him. The reason is that it is related to the momentum of the masses. The mass of the tennis ball is extremely small on the other hand the mass of a duce ball is huge. So the momentum by which the duce ball hurts a people but a tennis ball doesn't.
