A monsoon wedding is the talk of the town. Come the season of marriages and every Indian city, town or village experiences a show of pomp and celebration. An extravaganza of wasteful spending is out on display . A spurge of expenditure makes its presence felt in the pipeline.
Sounds, lights, flowers, food, decoration, communication are some of the building materials of the money pit created by an Indian wedding.
So much of hard earned money is wasted on all the show biz. This money can well be invested in some constructive use.
In today's extremely class conscious life style it is quite difficult to make both ends meet especially for a newly married couple. If the money to be spent on celebrations by both the parties be given to the couple instead they can invest it setting up their home.
The money can be used to buy the furniture and decor. Or else it can be wisely invested for future use. Savings is a part of the investments that can come very handy.
All these will be much more constructive than just spending them on celebrations. After all a penny saved is a penny earned!
