Answer:

Explanation:

Given :-

Initial velocity of Athlete , u = 0

Final velocity of Men, v = 10 m/s

Displacement, s = 100m

To Find :-

Final speed when he was at the middle.

Formula to be used :-

v² = u² + 2as

Solution :-

Putting all the values, we get

v² = u² + 2as

⇒ (10)² = 0² + 2a(100)

a = 0.5 m/s²

Now, speed of athlete at middle , v'

v² = u² + 2as

⇒ v'² = u² + 2a(s/2)

⇒ v'² = 0² + 2(0.5)(100/2)

⇒ v'² = 50

v' =  5√2 m/s

Hence, Final speed when he was at the middle is 5√2 m/s.
