1. Muscle cramps occur when there is anaerobic respiration taking place in our muscles. During anaerobic respiration, glucose gets converted into lactic acid which leads to lack of oxygen. A hot water bath or a massage can help in getting relief from the muscle cramps.

2. Roots growing in waterlogged soil may die because they cannot absorb the oxygen needed to function normally. The longer the air is cut off, the greater the root damage. The dying roots decay and cannot supply the plants with nutrients and water. Damage caused by over watering is frequently misdiagnosed as pest damage.

3. Stomata are cell structures in the epidermis of tree leaves and needles that are involved in the exchange of carbon dioxide and water between plants and the atmosphere.

4. Oxygen is transported throughout the body via hemoglobin in the red blood cells. Hemoglobin is the protein inside red blood cells that carries oxygen to cells and carbon dioxide to the lungs..Air is breathed in through the mouth and nose and after various processes it enters the blood through diffusion.
