1. 1. A microorganism is a living thing that is too small to be seen with the naked eye.   all these microbes can be grouped into five major types: Viruses, Bacteria, Archaea, Fungi, and Protists.

A microscope is an instrument that can be used to observe small objects, even cells.                                                                                                                                    3. Bacteria are classified into five groups according to their basic shapes: spherical (cocci), rod (bacilli), spiral (spirilla), comma (vibrios), or corkscrew (spirochaetes).                                                                                                                                4.
