Answer:

  1. 1. A microorganism is a living thing that is too small to be seen with the naked eye.   all these microbes can be grouped into five major types: Viruses, Bacteria, Archaea, Fungi, and Protists.

2. A microscope is an instrument that can be used to observe small objects, even cells.                                                                                                                                    3. Bacteria are classified into five groups according to their basic shapes: spherical (cocci), rod (bacilli), spiral (spirilla), comma (vibrios), or corkscrew (spirochaetes).                                                                                                                                4. Chemical food preservatives include compounds such as sodium benzoate, benzoic acid, nitrites, sulfites, sodium sorbate, and potassium sorbate.

5. To remove the water content, the vegetables are dried in the presence of sunlight before pickling. This helps in drying out the moisture present inside the pieces.                                                                                                                                  6. On tetra pack of juices, it is printed "IF THE PACKET IS PUFFED DO NOT BUY". ... Hence, if the packet is puffed, it is understood that the juice in it is spoiled and could be harmful if consumed. Therefore, it is printed on a  tetra pack of juices "IF THE PACKET IS PUFFED DO NOT BUY".                                                  7. Vaccination: The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.                                                                                            8. The microorganisms decompose dead organic wastes of plants and animals converting them into simple substances. These substances are again used by other plants and animals. Thus, microorganisms can be used to degrade the harmful and smelly substances and thereby cleans up the environment.                                                                                                                          9. Soil microorganisms are responsible for most of the nutrient release from organic matter. When microorganisms decompose organic matter, they use the carbon and nutrients in the organic matter for their own growth. They release excess nutrients into the soil where they can be taken up by plants.
