Given:

Molar conductivity = 152 Scm⁻²mol⁻¹

Concentration = 0.01M

To find:

Conductivity of solution.

Solution:

Lets first define the conductivity of the solution, it is the measure to determine the ability of a solution to conduct electricity.

It's SI unit is Siemens per centimeter.

Formula used to determine conductivity is as follows-

          \Lambda _m = \frac{\kappa \times 1000}{c}

or,      \kappa = \frac{\Lambda _m \times c}{1000}

here, κ = conductivity

         \Lambda _m = molar conductivity = 152 Scm⁻²mol⁻¹

         c = concentration = 0.01M

therefore, substituting all the values we get,

        \kappa  = \frac{152 \times 0.01}{1000}

       \kappa  = \frac{1.52}{1000}

       κ = 0.00152 Scm⁻¹.

Therefore, the conductivity of the solution is found to be 0.00152 Scm⁻¹.
