By the rule ,sum of the length of any two sides of a triangle must be greater than the third side .

  • measure of one side is 6 cm.

  • measure of second side is 8 cm.

  • let measure of third side be x .

Therefore ,

  • 6 + 8 = 14 must be greater than x means x is smaller than 14 .

  • 6 + x = 6 + x must be greater than 8 means . here to get the sum greater than 8 value of x must be greater than 2 .

  • 8 + x = 8 + x must be greater than 6 .here .

Therefore the measure of third side must be between 2 and 14 .
