Answer: 125% is the percentage increase for your question.
Let original length be "a"
So, Original surface area(S1) = 6a * a
Now, Increase in the length = 50%
So, new length = a + ((50/100) *a )
= (3a)/2
So, new surface area (S2) = 6 * (3a/2) * (3a/2)
= (27a*a)/2
So, Increase in surface area = S2 - S1
=((27a*a)/2) - (6a*a)
= (15a*a)/2
So, Percentage of increase in Surface Area
= ((((15a*a)/2) / (6a*a)) * 100 ) %
= 125%
