Each of 2 equal sides of a triangle is 3cm less than twice the third side . If the perimeter of the triangle is 69 find the length of its sides

here is your answer

3rd side = x

1st and 2nd side = 2x - 3 ( given that both the equal sides is 3cm less then twice the third side )

perimeter = a + b + c

x + 2x - 3 + 2x - 3 = 69 ( adding all )

5x - 6 =  69 ( transposing -6 to the RHS )

5x = 69 + 6

=> 5x = 75

x = 75 / 5 = 15cm

therefore ,

1st side = 2nd side = 2(15 ) - 3 => 30 - 3 = 27cm

3rd side = 15cm
