in triangle ABD and ACD

AD=AD

AB=AC

Angle ADB=Angle ADC=90

by RHS congruency Triangle ABD is congruent to triangle ACD

by CPCT, BD=CD=12 cm

Applying Pythagoras theorem,

(x+4)^2 = (x)^2 + (12)^2

x^2 + 8x + 16 = x^2 =144

8x=128

x=16

equal side = x+4= 20 cm

height=16 cm

area = 1/2 x b x h

        = 1/2 x 24 x 16

=192 cm^2

Perimeter= 20cm +20cm+24cm
