Each of two equal sides of a triangle is 4
meters less than third side. If perimeter of
triangle is 64 meters, find the length of its sides.​

Answer:

Let the third side be x. Then the two equal sides will be x - 4.

Perimeter = 64

Therefore

x + (x-4) +(x-4) = 64

3x - 8 = 64

x = 72/3 = 24m

Thus the length of the sides are 24m, 20m and 20m
