Answer:

let each side of the cube be = x

let surface area if the cube = 6x²

so... increased %of the side is = 50%

now.. new side will be = x+(50/100*x)

x+x/2

 \frac{3x}{2}

now.. new surface area will be =

6  \times   \frac{3x}{2} \times  \frac{3x}{2}

 3 \times 3x \times  \frac{3x}{2}

 \frac{27x {}^{2} }{2}

increase in surface area = new surface area-old surface area

=

 \frac{27x {}^{2} }{2}  - 6x {}^{2}

 \frac{15x {}^{2} }{2}

increased % = 15x²/2/6x²*100

15/2/3*50

5/2*50

5*25

125%
