Each term of a certain sequence is calculated by adding a particular constant number to the previous term .The 2nd term of this sequence is 27 and the 5th term is 84.What is the 1st term of this sequence ?​

Let the constant be x and the first term be a

So 2nd term and 5th term will bex+a=27 Subtract the two equations to geta+4x=84

Hence 3x=57\\x=\frac{57}{3}=19

a=27-19=8
