it will have ceased growing in 21 years.

this is an arithmetic progression.

a = 100cm (1m)
d= -5

tn = a + (n-1)d
tn = 0cm

0= 100 - 5n +5
5n = 105
n = 21

therefore it will have ceased growing in 21 years :((
