Earth exerts a gravitational force on the moon. Why doesnt the force of gravity pull the moon into the earth?

because we have equation of work

W = F d cosø

earth exerts gravitational force on moon but force is applied to parpendicular....

so accordind to equation cosø=cos90=0

therefor work has not done..

so earth does not pull moon inside...
