earth is a magnet .magnet can attract only metals .but earth can attaract any thing .whyyy???

The Earth has a magnetic field which is produced deep in the interior by electrical currents in the molten part of the core. At the surface of the Earth and beyond the magnetic field is weak. It is just strong enough to rotate a small magnet, called a compass needle, balanced with little friction on a pointed support.

The Earth itself is not a magnet. The magnetic field produced in the core is much more complex in form that what would be expected for a simple magnet such as a bar magnet. The illustration of the Earth as if there is a bar magnet inside are misleading.

The effects of Earth's magnetic field are weak compared to many other forces acting on objects at the surface of the Earth. In most cases friction is much stronger than any magnetic force that the Earth's field exerts on a piece of iron or even on a magnet.

Also most metals aren't attracted to magnets. Those that are are said to be ferromagnetic. In pure form the only ferromagnetic metals are Iron, Nickel and Cobalt, and you'll never find Cobalt in pure form or even nearly so on Earth.

But as earth is sphere in shape it forms gravitational force. So, by this magnet gravitational force is formed which attracts all the things.

That the magnet forms a magnetic field so earth forms a magnetic layer too so that the objecta under it are attracted Towards it.
You can say that this is the main reasons for that earth attracts everything.
