A rotation is a circular movement of an object around a centre of rotation. If three-dimensional objects like earth, moon and other planets always rotate around an imaginary line, it is called a rotation axis. If the axis passes through the body’s centre of mass, the body is said to rotate upon itself or spin.

A body in motion will continue to move until it is stopped by any force, according to Newton’s law. There is no force that can stop these planets from rotating in their original direction.

Answer:

the best thing to feel this is sun is rising always in East . why it is because the earth is rotating on its axis always from West to east . basically if you wanna feel that suppose yourself on top of earth ( north pole) and you become iron man and you gone one km above to the sky now your observing earth or recording in camera .then you founded that that big ball earth is rotating "anticlockwise" now you come back to surface of pole we already considered all the direction for any planet . now we easily say earth is rotating from West to east .

Explanation:

For consideration of direction of any celestial bodies we freeze the planet now we are seeing which side is facing sun or star is " east " that of opposite of east is "west " upper pole is north and another pole is " south "

and what will be north and south it's depending on government or study system what they considered . if once it considered that Antarctica should be on South pole it should be always.

for any celestial bodies you can find direction by these mediams .

hopefully my imaginary explanation helpful to you to understand your doubt
