Cutaneous Respiration

Explanation :-

There some organisms that respire through their body surface for eg. Amoeba, Euglena and Paramecium. They take oxygen directly from the surroundings. Oxygen and CO2 diffuse in and out through the outer cell membrane or the body surface. In earthworm and leech, the skin is moist and helps in exchange of gases. Gaseous exchange of gases through skin is also known as cutaneous respiration.
