Essay on women empowerment.

⏩I am very glad to write on this topic which is the main reason for the pride of our country.

Now a days a topic has come up that women have to be empowered whereas few years back this was considered to be matter of joke or daydream.

Women are the prime source of happiness of the society. The presence of Women in this society is like presence of salt in food and their absence from the society is like the absence of oxygen from the atmosphere.

Women empowerment is very essential for the development and progress of a country. Women now a days are considered no less than men and they match shoulder to shoulder with men and contribute equally to the development of the country. But still in many parts of the country a girl child is considered to be a burden for the family and killed in the womb of the mother. The women of the family are blamed for bearing the girl child and they are killed too.

During the pre - Independence Era Lord William Bentick ,Raja Rammohan Roy ,Keshab Chandra Sen, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar took steps to attack Sati,Female Infanticide.Laws were passed too for prohibiting these practises. But Queen Victoria in her proclaimation declared that she would not interfere with the religious beliefs of the people. This again gave boost to these practises.

In a developing country like India Women Empowerment is also implemented. Our defence Minister is Nirmala Sitharaman who is responsible for the defence and security of the whole country where years before women only needed the security. Other eminent women are Sushma Swaraj,Smriti Irani and many Chief Ministers of States.

People who do wrong with women and do not respect them should know that they are there because of a woman that is their MOTHER

This was a short note on Women empowerment .

Hope this helps you ^_^
