perimeter of current rectangle 2(l+b)
2(30+20)=100
length increase 10% = 30+10%=33
breadth increase 5%=20+5%=21
perimeter after increasing 2(l+b)
2(33+21)=104
total increasing is 104-100=4
increasing percentage = total increasing/current perimeter ×100
4/100×100=4
hence 4% is answer.

Answer:

8% increase in perimeter

Step-by-step explanation:

Original perimeter is 20+20+30+30 = 100

Length is 30 cm

Width is 20 cm

10% of 30 is 3

5% of 20 is 1

30+3=33

20+1=21

33+33+21+21 = 66+42 = 108

8 is 8% of 100, which was the original perimeter.

So, there is an 8% increase in perimeter.
