Ethers have angular structure similar to water,in which Oxygen involves sp3 hybridisation.Oxygen is surrounded by two O--R bonds and two lone pairs. Due to angular structure,ethers have dipole moment even if the two alkyl groups are identical because two C--O moments do not cancel each other.
