Economic activities are those conducts which involve some kind of monetary or financial motivation. On the other hand, non-economic activities often involve non-monetary motivations such as personal satisfaction or a greater social benefit.

Explanation:

As stated, economic activities commonly entail some sort of monetary or financial gains. In this regard, most of the conducts or practices in the society fall under this category as majority of the people are working or doing something to earn money/income/salary.Examples of economic activities can be personal businesses, any regular occupation such as banker, carpenter, teacher, lawyer and so on.In contrast, as mentioned, non-economic activities involve non-profit or charity activities such as philanthropic activities, environmental awareness programs, providing free educational and medical facilities to poor, personal donations etc. These activities usually do not involve any financial/monetary gains but personal satisfaction or social contributions.
