Species richness is the number of different species represented in an ecological community, landscape or region.[1] Speciesrichness is simply a count of species, and it does not take into account the abundances of the species or their relative abundance distributions. Species diversity takes into account both species richness and species evenness.

Answer:

The area where the species diversity in ecosystem is relatively higher is the tropical rain forest in the land and the coral reefs in the marine ecosystem.

Explanation:

The tropical rain forests are blessed with high rainfall and also high optimum temperatures which allows the species to live and adapt .Moreover they are not affected by extreme conditions such as glacier melting, which washes off the entire species in that area.

The coral reefs are not disturbed much as they live in deep sea and thereby they serve as a hub for a wide number of species.
