ANSWER

The condition in which the fertilized egg gets implanted outside the uterus is called ectopic pregnancy. Under normal conditions, the fertilized egg travels through the fallopian tube and attaches to the uterine lining. In most situations, ectopic pregnancy occurs when the egg is implanted in either of the fallopian tubes. Hence it is also called tubal pregnancy. The fallopian tube cannot support the growing uterus and may lead to severe problems in fetal development. Thus the correct answer is option C.
