internet is much good for students from study side and also so bad from other side.suppose if a serious student about study miss his/her class then he/she can study and understand the topic clearly from many available videos.In other hand if someone just start using internet for study purpose and his friend suggest him/her to join social network such as fb,many other sites.then he or she get distracted from study in such a way that he/she just open internet to know some meaning of any words and saw that someone massege him/her,at that time he/she think that just reply for that massege and conversation starts going on.then we can say that he/she got distracted from study at that time .
So,finally we can say that effect of internet on student is good as well as bad.

Internet Is good and bad also because there are many things in internet which helps us but many dirty things also...
