here is your answer..

When an inert gas is added to the system in equilibrium at constant pressure, then the total volume will increase.

Hence, the number of moles per unit volume of various reactants and products will decrease.

Hence, the equilibrium will shift towards the direction in which there is increase in number of moles of gases.

a) addition of insert volume---
when inert gas is added at constant volume then the active mass of the reactant Per unit volume still remains same then inert gas will not participate in the reaction there will be no change in equilibrium.

b) addition of insert pressure---
when addition of inert gas is done at constant pressure then it result an increase in volume therefore for shifting of equilibrium occurs in the direction of increase in volume.
