firstly what is tsunami ?
=> the word tsunami is derived from Japanese word ' tsu' meaning harbour or port and 'nami' meaning a long wave .
one of the major consequence of earthquake is occurrence of tsunamis.
tsunami is an ocean wave produced by an event at sea, like an earthquake , landslide, or volcanic eruption..
tsunamis are very long waves which travel at great speeds .
you can see it in pic how tsunami occurs ..
The effects of tsunamis are :
* loss of live
many people lost their life because of tsunamis .
* loss of properties
it damage our properties also .
* large tracts of agricultural land have been inundated by saline water from the sea and have become unfit for agriculture .
* fishermen lost their boats ,nets etc and have no source of livelihood .
