Part of central force on a planet causes its spin motion about an axis perpendicular to its orbital plane. Magnitude of spin acceleration and direction of spin are affected by magnitudes of central forces and eccentricity of planet's apparent orbital paths about other macro bodies in the system. Resultant spin motion depends on all central forces on it. Depending on the magnitude of eccentricity of apparent orbit, the planet could spin in either direction or it may have no spin motion at all.
