The effect of terrorism on a person is first and foremost fear.   From experience of life here in Israel, living with terror is stressful and, in some places, paralyzing.  This fear affects both children and adults, resulting in many cases in Post-Traumatic Stress.

But this fear affects not only the citizens of the country.  Tourism suffers immensely due to fears of outsiders to visit the country under terror attack.

Anger is another by-product of terrorism.  Families who either lost loved ones or they were wounded in terror attacks often experience anger channeled towards various targets in an attempt to find someone to blame.

Frustration is also a by-product of terror – such as that of the Israeli citizens when it comes to the current Knives Intifada that has been going on for months.  The frustration is due to (among other things) lack of a real solution to prevent these unpredictable attacks.

Eventually, as you read in previous answers, these things lead to all the economic sufferings such as job loss, decrease in GDP etc.  But all of these factors are really a direct result of behavior of those who experience the terror or are indirectly affected by it.
